Snuggle under a cozy duvet. Float atop memory foam. Watch the fire flicker in your fireplace. See the moonrise over the mountains from your bed. Fall asleep to the chorus of the peepers, and awake to the song of birds.

Every guest room has an unobstructed mountain view. Those facing east look onto the spectacular and rugged White Mountains, anchored by Mount Washington. In winter you can see the skiers at Cannon Mountain. Rooms facing west look over the golf course onto Vermont’s fabled rolling Green Mountains and our famous sunset.

Some rooms are furnished with antiques from the original Sunset Hill House. Some have Gas fireplaces, tv's, deep clawfooted tubs, Jacuzzis, body-spray or steam showers, a private deck, or all of these! Choose the amenities that you want. Of course, all have private outgoing telephones, air conditioning, and include a full cooked-to-order breakfast.

No two rooms are alike. They range from cozy rooms with two twin beds, to 2-room grand master suites with all the amenities. Click on the ones you like, above, to see details and photos.

We are also fully ADA accessible. The main inn is ramped on both public levels (this includes the front desk, restaurant, tavern, spa and banquet room) and offers an accessible restroom on the main level. Hill House offers ramped first floor accommodations, including a fully accessible room with barrier free shower, and a easy-access room with a Step in shower for those who are not as spry as they might have been… If you need assistance or special accommodation, please let us know so that we may do our very best to help you. Note that the inn does not have any elevators.

We try our best to keep photos and information on our website absolutely current. Still, we are always in the process of upgrading the inn. Rates, amenities, décor – all are subject to change without notice.

As an “environmental partner” of NH’s Sustainable Lodging Program, we are committed to preserving our environment and have taken many initiatives across all areas of conservation to reduce our impact on the planet. These include using fluorescent and LED lighting, reducing the use of paper goods, implementing a towel and linen reuse program (voluntary for the guest) through our work with Project Planet. Additionally, our exterior lighting is designed to reduce light pollution and enhance dark skies. Finally, we use only low-water consumption high efficiency washing machines for laundry. Their super high spin speed significantly reduces energy used to dry linens as well.

We have gone one step further, and use green seal certified cleaning products for guest rooms and most jobs throughout the facility. This has had a triple bonus for us. First, certainly it is good for the environment. Equally as important, it exposes our guests and our valuable housekeepers to fewer toxins – keeping us all healthy and happy! Finally, our business has benefited as the cost of these healthy products is actually lower than those high-emission standards. Talk about a win-win!

Finally, 4 years ago we took the bold step of voluntarily placing nearly 70 acres of prime development land at the golf course under a very stringent conservation easement, in conjunction with the Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust. This, and our active forestry management to improve habitat, has turned the backlands of our golf course into a wildlife haven, that can never, ever be developed.
