Get into the Muud (mud meets mood) packages (available last three weekends in March only) There’s so much going on in the mountains in springtime, why let a little mud stop you? Embrace the Muud (and each other) and get into the muud with our springtime mud package. Your package includes:
• 2 nights fantastic lodging (overlooking the mountains and fields…and mud).
• A full breakfast each morning (featuring our famous gingerbread pancakes topped with caramel muud sauce).
• 5-course gourmet dinner, both nights. With muud specials sure to please. Like muddy lava cake.
• All the tiptoeing through our soft squishy professional-grade mudpile you can stand.

Your choice of any two of the following:
• Maple Muud excursion for two – a horse drawn ride, tap your own tree (in the muud), and participate in the entire maple syrup boiling process at the Rocks estate, plus a basket brimming with maple and breakfast treats.
• Become one with the muud as you go 6-wheeling through Franconia notch, in Swiss Army Pinzgauer all terrain vehicles. Hold on, and get ready to get really really muddy. 1+ hours, trip for two.
• Not-too-muddy massage – a one hour fireside massage (for one) (additional guest, $89)
• Muddy Adventures – depending on weather, we’ll offer either a zip line tour over the mud of Franconia notch (for one – additional guest $89) or a 1 hour mudmobile (snowmobile) tour for 2.

Maple Package
Join us any weekend from March 15-March 29, 2008 and celebrate the longer days, warm sun, and glistening snow: Conditions perfect for the Sap Run! No - this isn't a footrace but Northern NH's annual maple sugaring season. Go from sugarbush to sugarbush and saphouse to saphouse learning how we make maple syrup - from the old fashioned "hang a bucket on a tree" to high tech vacuum lines, from yokes around your neck for 2 buckets, to horse drawn sleds, to miles of tubing crisscrossing an orchard. From simple wood-fired evaporators to state of the art boilers. No matter how we make it, it is all delicious. Try tapping your own tree, take a horse drawn ride, or have a guided sugaring tour on snowshoes. Sample the different grades of syrup, taste maple candy, and maple butter. What a sweet time!

Our packages include two night's lodging, a maple excursion including a horse drawn ride and tap your own tree and boil sap at the Rocks estate our own guide to the best sugar houses of the region (visit them all!) a basket brimming with Fuller's maple products when you arrive (Fullers is the sole maple provider to Sunset Hill House), breakfast (with maple syrup of course) each morning, and even the chance to tap one of our 100-year-old sugar maples at the inn yourself! Fireside Spa Package
Sunset Hill House is pleased to offer fireside massage therapy for its guests with Cheryl Sullivan, a licensed, certified, and experienced Massage Therapist.

Cheryl's massage consists of an eclectic blend of healing designed to treat the whole person on a physical, energetic, and spiritual level. During the last 18 years, Cheryl has put together a session sequence that incorporates all these modalities, and is tailored to meet each individual's needs. Her intention is to provide a massage that is relaxing, rejuvenating, therapeutic, and most importantly appropriate for each of her clients.

On a physical level she uses Swedish massage techniques to enable the release of toxins that accumulate in the muscle tissue. The toxins are flushed out of the body via the circulatory system, whose natural activity level is increased with this type of massage therapy. Both light and deep tissue techniques are used to break up muscle adhesions (knots) that are present in the muscles for a variety of reasons. Some people (especially athletes) respond to a deeper massage using trigger-point therapy, consisting of deep pressure usually applied with the thumb to hypersensitive points within a muscle. Others (especially those that have high levels of stress in their lives), may respond to more of a nervous system relaxation approach, which is achieved with a lighter, slower massage.

On the energetic level, Cheryl uses Reike (pronounced "Ray-Key"), a hands-on type of energy healing to open and balance the Chakras. Chakras are vital energy centers that metabolize universal energy much in the same way our digestive system metabolizes the food we eat. People generally find this balancing process very relaxing.

On the spiritual level, Cheryl silently uses compassionate and nurturing touch to help her clients feel more centered and at peace within themselves and in their relationships. While working with an open heart herself, her intention is to help people achieve an overall sense of connectedness to their selves, and to the universe they dwell in.

Throughout her many years of practice, the blending of these therapies has resulted in client satisfaction with people from all walks of life. Cheryl is pleased to bring her healing massage practice to the Sunset Hill House in its fireplaced spa, adding yet another dimension to the Inn guest's sensory experience during their memorable stay.
